St Patrick's Day Parade Goes On Undeterred by Snow
We always look forward to the annual St Patrick's Day Parade because then we know that Spring is here! Well, almost . . . On the morning of the parade snow was steadily falling and we thought that the parade might have to be postponed. But it only took an hour delay and the snow stopped the "sun" came out and soon all the snow on the roads was clear and ready for the marchers.

Annual Art & Art Quilt Supply Sale at the Inn
It's time once again for our annual sale of art and art quilt supplies! We stock supplies for the convenience of the students attending the workshops we host as Hudson River Valley Art Workshops, but at the end of the year we like to CLEAR THE SHELVES!
All supplies are at least 25% off, with some items marked down 30% to 50%. There are lots of great items at a wide range of prices - from stocking stuffers to "holy cow, what an amazing gift."
The sale continues until Dec. 31, 2014 and the shop is open Wednesday thru Sunday 10am to 4pm.
A quick photo tour of our shop will give you an idea of what you can find here.

Our Hudson River Valley Art Workhop t-shirts are also 25% off.

Don't forget about our Life By Chocolate shop has a great variety of gourmet chocolate confections - cordials, caramels, toffee, bark, and more. The chocolates are made right here in our commercial kitchen using organic chocolate: Dark, Milk, or Vegan. We have some very festive boxes for the holidays and chocolate Santas.

If you or someone on your gift list loves cute collectables, we have a great selection of Wee Forest Folk figures, including a number of the retired pieces!

First Snow of 2014: Photo Tour of the Inn Grounds
I always delight in the beauty and wonder of the first snowfall of the year. Even though I seem to take the same photos every year, each year is again so fresh and inviting. I can't help myself!
So enjoy this year's tour of the grounds of the Greenville Arms 1889 Inn under a blanket of fresh snow.

Time Changes But Fall Color Continues
Anyone else get caught by the time change? I got up at my usual early morning time only to discover that I had forgotten to change my clock back the night before. Oh, well, at least I now had time for one more latte before starting breakfast prep.
We are still being wowed by the Fall colors on the trees around our inn.

Falling in Love with Fall
There is definitely lots of Fall color on display in our area right now, but there is still plenty of weeks left. The October Glory maples in our front yard are just now changing color, as well as the oak tree and Japanese maples around the grounds. Still plenty of leaf raking ahead of us!
All of these photos were taken around the inn grounds last week.
